Dementia Care Specialist Course ONLINE CLASS with LERN.org
As baby-boomers age, the 21st century workforce is challenged to care for an exponentially growing population of persons with dementia (PWD). Expertise in memory is going to be needed in nearly every industry. This course provides essential knowledge and understanding about neurological diseases that affect cognition and memory, and practical application of effective skills for supporting PWD. Nearly all disciplines benefit from taking this course, as do families of PWD. Enhance your resume with this specialized education.
An online course created with adult-learners in mind. This class provides students a safe and easy-to-manage venue to learn from the instructor and from each other. This program is offered online through many colleges and universities via LERN/UGotClass, a non-profit educational organization. It is “asynchronous” which means students enroll in the class and then complete the course at their own pace within eight weeks. Hebrew HealthCare has partnered with LERN/UGotClass to create this course. You do not need to be enrolled in a college to take Dementia Care. Students receive a transcript with International Learning Units (internationally recognized CEUs) but if you are taking the course for professional license/continuing education, you should check with your licensing board to see if they accept ILUs.
